Financial Planning Built for High-Earning Professionals
You've worked hard to build a successful life. Your career is thriving, you're saving and investing, and you're making thoughtful decisions for your family.
But as life becomes more complex, it’s easy for your financial picture to feel like a collection of moving parts instead of a coordinated plan. My role is to bring those pieces together so you can make decisions with clarity and confidence.

Does This Sound Like You?
Many of Mike’s clients are in their 40s and 50s, well into successful careers and earning strong incomes. They’ve accumulated retirement accounts, taxable investments, employee stock compensation, and other financial opportunities, but they haven’t necessarily had the time to step back and build a cohesive strategy around them.
For many, life has become more financially complex. A spouse or partner may have an equally demanding career and their own compensation package. Children are growing up, college is becoming a real expense, and important financial decisions seem to multiply each year. While they’re doing well by most measures, many share the feeling that their finances have become more complicated than organized. They’re not starting from scratch, they’re looking for clarity, confidence, and a plan that keeps pace with the life they’ve built.
You Might Be a Great Fit If...
- You have RSUs, ISOs, or an ESPP and you're not sure what to do when they vest
- You have a 401(k) from a previous employer that's just sitting idle
- You and your partner have never sat down and made a real financial plan together
- You're not sure if you have enough life insurance, or the right kind
- You have kids and you've thought about college savings but haven't done much about it
- You worry about taxes but don't have a clear strategy beyond hoping your accountant has it under control
- You've been meaning to update your will and beneficiary designations for years
- Your household income is $300K or more, or your investments are approaching or past $1M
- You want someone to tell you honestly where you stand, not sell you something

MFA Clients
The Tech or Biotech Professional
Your income is strong and climbing, but so is your tax bill. You want someone who understands how equity compensation works, and how to make the most of it without handing a disproportionate share to the IRS.
The Dual-Income Family
You’ve talked about getting organized: college savings, the estate plan, what happens if one of you can’t work. You just haven’t had the bandwidth to actually do it. That’s what Mike is here for.
The Successful Professional Ready to Level Up
You’ve always managed your own finances: read the books, maxed your 401(k), made reasonable decisions. But you’re at a point where your financial picture is more complex than self-directed management can comfortably handle. Multiple accounts, equity compensation, a mortgage, growing assets, and a sense that there’s probably more optimization available than you’re currently capturing.
You don’t need someone to hold your hand. You need a real advisor, someone who will challenge your thinking, bring expertise you don’t have, and hold you accountable to actually executing the plan.

Whether you’re just starting to think more strategically about your finances or you’ve reached a point where the pieces have become too complex to manage on your own, financial planning can provide clarity. The goal isn’t to have everything figured out before you begin, it’s to have a trusted partner who can help you make informed decisions along the way.

Common Questions About Who Mike Works With
Does Morton Financial Advice have a minimum income or asset requirement?
What industries do most of Morton Financial Advice's clients come from?
Does Mike work with clients who are just starting out financially?
Can Mike work with clients outside of Massachusetts?
Yes. Morton Financial Advice is registered to provide investment advisory services in Massachusetts, California, Colorado, and Pennsylvania, and can serve clients in other states in certain circumstances. Mike works with many clients entirely remotely, making geography a minor factor in most cases. Clients across New England, including Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine, regularly engage with Mike.
Does Morton Financial Advice manage investments, or just provide financial plans?
Both. The Express and Comprehensive plans focus on financial planning (analysis, recommendations, and a written plan) without ongoing investment management. The Full Service plan includes investment management, where Mike monitors and manages client investment accounts throughout the year. Clients who want planning expertise without handing over account management can choose accordingly.
